Inspired by Kokeshi: From Folk Art to Art Toy (2009), the collaborative exhibition between LATDA and the Japanese American National Museum (JANM), this lightweight bracelet represents the faces of five of the ten traditional kokeshi schools: (L-R) Togatta, Yamagata, Tsuchiya, Hijiori, and Naruko.
Digitally-printed shrink plastic panels are linked together with brass jump rings. Each panel measures .75” x 1.75". The extension clasp is designed to fits up to 7.5” wrist. A silky red tassel adds a splash of color. (See the matching necklace here!)
***Please do not expose this bracelet to liquids, wear while skinny dipping, diving for sunken treasure or dancing in the rain. Created for LATDA by Mama’s Little Babies.
