Inspired by Kokeshi: From Folk Art to Art Toy (2009), the collaborative exhibition between LATDA and the Japanese American National Museum (JANM), this lightweight necklace features the faces of six of the ten traditional kokeshi schools: (L-R) Naruko, Yamagata, Tsuchiya, Togatta, Hijiori, and Yajiro.
Digitally-printed shrink plastic disks are printed (with the same face) on both sides and attach to the brass chain with jump rings. 16”L.
